Introduction
Net60 is the defacto .NET Compact
Framework for the Symbian OS. Follow these steps to run a .NET binary on your S60 device.
Steps to See Net60 in Action
- Request an evaluation license (Net60.licence) from www.redfivelabs.com/net60/Evaluate.aspx (it will be emailed immediately)
- Install Net60.exe to your PC. Download it from www.redfivelabs.com/net60.exe [13MB]
- Install Nokia PC Suite to your PC. Download it from Nokia [34MB]
- Connect your mobile phone to your PC (usually with a USB cable). The necessary drivers for your phone will be installed automatically.
- Navigate to the Net60 install path (default c:\Program Files\Red Five Labs\Net60 ) and double click the Net60-debug.sisx to install it to your device.
- Copy the Net60.licence emailed to you to the following folder on your device: \\Phone Memory\Data\RedFiveLabs\
- Copy the sample .NET binaries from c:\Program Files\Red Five Labs\Net60\Sample Projects\Binaries to the following folder on device: \\Phone Memory\Data\RedFiveLabs\Apps
- On your phone, navigate to the Applications Menu and launch the Net60 Launcher.
- Select which .NET .exe you'd like to run and launch it. Hey Presto! Net60 in action!
